Nerissa Rosati

Nerissa was born in Toronto, Ontario but after having graduated from the School of Experiential Education in 1980, she hit the high road and made her way to “experience” the North.
She started painting houses in Faro in 1981 and continued a career in construction for the next 25 plus years. As her work skills grew she went from painting to taping to framing to tiling to cabinetry which led her to Fine Woodworking.

After taking a 6 week intensive course @ the Inside Passage School of Woodworking at Roberts Creek BC she came home and begin taking the steps to lead her in the direction to a more artistic approach to working with her hands.

Now that her four children have flown to experience paths of their own she has the time, the energy and the passion to enjoy all the joys and nuances involved in the art world.  Opening the Copper Moon Gallery allows her to be a part of the business world which is her true nature, while allowing her time and a venue to enjoy working with wood on a new and completely different level.
