Mark Lange

Mark Lewis Lange, was born on September 3,1975 in Whitehorse, YT and was adopted from birth.
He now lives in Mayo as part of the Nacho Nyak Dun First Nation,  from the ‘aguy’ clan (Wolf Clan).
Over the last 15 years or so, he has researched the anthropology of the North West Coastal people and being Northern Tutchone,  he finds his people have been too successfully assimilated into modern culture:  “my people’s history has been long forgotten” he states.
Mark is working on rediscovering the culture and reviving it to display it’s beauty.

“Within the work I am currently doing I has only just begun to master the basics of this practice. Therefore, I believe my art work has only just begun, and creativity is still presenting itself to me in a variety of ways as I continue my progress as an artist.”
