Manu Keggenhoff
Manu was born and raised in Germany. She first came to Atlin eight years ago on her honeymoon while traveling around the world with her husband Sascha. Manu now calls Atlin home, so strong was her connection to the area. Since 1998 she has been working as a professional graphic and web designer and a lecturer for Visual Communication and Graphic Design at Marquardt- Academy in Dortmund Germany where she obtained a Masters Degree in visual arts and design. Photography has become Manu’s main passion and her favourite occupation. Her photographic artwork shows the beauty that lies within the ordinary, seeing striking images in the old remnants of the Far North’s history, or a capturing image of calm or chaos in the weather and nature around her home.
Manu’s art has been published in several photo-art-calendars’ and magazines. Her photography was released by a number of book publishers in Germany, the Netherlands and the US (most notably the cover for Dean Koontz’ “The Darkest Evening of the Year”) her latest book-project comprises another of her passions: dogs. Manu’s work will be featured in Gaby von Dollens upcoming photo-based book “WeisseSchweizerSchaferhunde” (White Swiss Sheppard Dogs) by German publisher CadmosVerlag
